Participated in the club by doing advertisements and media marketing for Society of Women Engineers’ WISE fashion event. Made friends and connections in the engineering field through events like the one shown to the left.
Treasurer of International Electronics and Electrical Engineer (IEEE) Club
As the treasurer of the IEEE I had to build a budget, attend meeting with the cabinet, advertise meeting dates, and make fundraisers to raise money. The money raised was utilized for projects that specialized students skills and could be used by later years. Being a member for the last 4 years has enabled me to branch out my talents by building a drone from scratch and we had even competed in a local competition.
Member of Engineer Mentor Career Circle (EMC2)
Participated in this club where I got in contact with a professional in the electrical engineering field, who held similar demographics. She had advised me on my resume, prepped me for interviews, showed me how to introduce myself, and worked on my professionalism. This club helped me gain a vision of the resources available to me at LSU and made me work on my career goals.
